Co-author Barbara Goggins provided vital data collection. A professional life-story writer and former writing professor, Dr. Dolly Berthelot was primary writer and designer. Both have been active members since the early-mod 1980s. The ink cover art by retired career artist Mike Huey shows the present UUCP facility, in North Pensacola.

The large-format paperback tells the very human story of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Pensacola and the people, times, place, and denomination that have shaped this congregation across five decades. Facts and figures are interwoven with anecdotes and quotes. Even our longest-term members will learn something, be invigorated by the romp through our past, and feel proud of the role UUCP has played in Northwest Florida/Southwest Alabama.

Newcomers, UUs elsewhere, other religious liberals, and anyone merely curious about UU will enjoy the story and benefit from the context provided of Unitarian Universalism and of the outside events, issues, and surrounding culture that have impacted our congregation. We hope the book informs, entertains, and serves as a legacy to cherish.
