November 2 - “The Blessings of Ancestors”        Rev. Julie Kain

In our All Souls Day ceremony we will celebrate those who have died and left us with significant gifts that continue to bless our lives. All are invited to bring a photo or memento to place on our community table of remembrance in honor of our loved ones. After the service, a Family Outreach planning session will be held, see page 4.  Reminder: Bring your items for Swap It Exchange & Manna Food Bank.

 November 9 - "The Costs of Empire"                 Rev. Julie Kain

Fourth in the Peacemaking series, this post-election message will explore America's role as a world leader of human rights in light of an emerging model of peacemaking that offers a viable alternative to Just War Theory and Pacifism. After the service, a film on UU history will be shown. All welcome.

 November 16 –  "Knowing Our Limits"              Rev. Julie Kain

An open-hearted assessment of ourselves can show us how our personal limitations and weaknesses can be transformed into strengths.

 November 23 – "The Gifts of Reconciliation"     Rev. Julie Kain

In a final installment of the Peacemaking series as we celebrate Thanksgiving, an honest review of our histories can open the way for personal and cultural gifts of reconciliation. UUSC Guest at Your Table Begins. Sunday Potluck Luncheon will follow the service. 

November 30 –  “Waging Peace”                        UUCP Member, Rev. Dr. Monty  Mountcastle

Another view from Monty’s new book The Secret Ministry of Jesus which reveals a healing and peacemaking formula developed and used by Jesus. “Share the Plate” second offering will go to the Washborn Center.
